Considerations for Flags on Vehicles

Flags flown from vehicles are usually not a problem at parade speed. Even the most durable flags of all manufacturers, regardless of price, are not designed for tropical storms. A wind storm with 55-65 mph winds is classified a “Severe Tropical Storm” in the NW Pacific and similar classifications in other locales.  Flying a flag from a vehicle for 10 minutes at 55 mph is like driving in a storm and even the best flags may become damaged. Respectable manufactures of flags do not claim that their flags are made to take this type of punishment.
